The 80's. Without doubt, Hong Kong cinema's golden era. Here you'll see some absolute gems like Mr. Vampire, A Chinese Ghost Story, Chicken And Duck Talk, Meal On Wheels, Project A, Once Upon In China and Shanghai Opera Blues to name a few. All of them pure entertainment gold.
Hell yeah! God I miss SBS' Saturday night cult movie show... they would always show some awesome Hong Kong Kung Fu flick or some Italian zombie movie...
I reallyy adore Mr. Vampire. Been a while since I saw it, maybe like a year, seeing as after it I kinda just kept going backwards in time as far as movies go and just have been watching a lot of 1950s and 1930s films, but it's still one of my favorites. Should really rewatch it..
I've gone through that before too, actually. ^_^; But then I got more into sci-fi from some of the older stuff like The Man From Planet X that was in black and white, then ended up watching Star Trek and other sci-fi thus resulting in watching color stuff again. Err.. sorry for rambling on about something like that.
Nothing wrong with Italian zombie movies either
I went through a phase where I refused to watch anything in colour....
Err.. sorry for rambling on about something like that.
