First time I finished Dark Souls I vowed to never play it again. It was on of the most draining, addictive and exhausting experiences in gaming I've ever gone through. It left me a wreck.
Fucking ruined every other game too. Everything I played afterwards felt shallow and half-baked. No matter what I played, this little voice at the back of the head kept asking "Are you praising the sun? Is this jolly co-operation?"
Fuck you, Dark Souls. I had to play you again, didn't I?
On my first playthrough, I skipped the Prepare To Die DLC. This time I went full hog. I ripped Manus a second one (after he ripped me one about six times) and rescued Dusk again.
When I wasn't playing, my mind kept on thinking about tactics to beat the next boss and how I was to access new areas. It takes over your head!!
Now I've finished it for the second time and I had to stop myself from going for another round with the new game plus.
I'm playing with a new comic which will hopefully break the mould of previous comics. Now that I've completed Dark Souls, I can concentrate on.... DARK SOULS 2 IS COMING OUT ON PC THE 25th OF APRIL!!!!
  • Mood: Optimism
  • Listening to: Gwyn, lord of cinders- Dark Souls OST

Well i know exactly what you went through... I'm still in the middle of going through my first playthrough and am close to the finish, but i am already past the anguish and anger over dying over and over again.

New tactics, maybe even some luck and things slowly move forward... I will definitely try out NG+, but i dunno how far i will go on it. And also so little time before Dark Souls 2 @.@

I can never save him at Lost Izalith, even with the shortcut! No jolly co-operation for the Gwyn fight!

You have to kill the sunlight bug before going into the lava section of Izalith, then go back and talk to Solaire at the first lava section bonfire, exhaust the dialogue, then move back to the shortcut and reload the game. If you didn't rest and no bugs are there the chances are higher that he won't fight you, but the trigger is supposed to be only the red-eyed bug.

Pft! Fuck no!
I couldn't care less about being earlier on consoles. I don't have. I don't care to have one.
