I wasn't going to say anything and I might have left it too late, but I was born in Chile, so....Fuck you, earth! You can't keep us trapped!! We'll punch a hole and escape in a capsule!! FUCK YEAH!!!

Bless the 33 miners, the rescue workers and all involved in what surely is a modern day miracle.

i think this a real life example of a Eucatastrophe, the sudden turning of events from bad to good.

really, Chile was GREAT in how the situation was handled. If that were to happen in my country, the government would still be placing the blame in the oposition, and of course, forgetting the miners may, you know, get hungry.

It was a great thing that they actually rescued them. It must have been hell for those guys.

By the way, how the rescue operation goes? We don't watch TV, so we do not know the details.

All miners and rescue teams have been recovered safely. All but 2 miners have been discharged from hospital and allowed to go home.

Good planning, patience and the humility to accept aid make for a heroic story.

Can't deny it, that's the best description of this event I've heard. Bloody good work everyone involved, and the biggest well done to the miners for keeping it together down there.
