Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Right, so there are a few things making my life a misery at the moment and I'm not just talking about the usual things like work or such.
No. I got the itch again. You know, that same itch that had me changing the art style of my Lowroad comic every second week or so.
Yeah, I wanna change Giselle's looks to a more western style and less anime-ish.

I might post some concept sketches later on for gather responses.

And while we're at it, some other things which are also fucking or have fucked up my day:

iTunes- Made of arse and wang! Slow, bloated, buggy and dumb, dumb, dumb! Unfortunately it is the only program I've been able to find that can sync my new iPod Touch. Fucken!

Red Vines- This is what I imagine horse semen to taste like. No wonder (and thankfully) that you can only find it at that one Costco store along with that other rare morsel of cow dung, Hershey chocolates.
Seriously, what the fuck do they put in those things? Washing detergent? The undigested content of a cat's stomach?

Akham City- Well, the game itself is awesome. Frankly, a solid contender for game of the year but... what's the fuck with the DX11 implementation?! Did anyone even think of , I dunno, running the game on a PC before letting it out on the public or did they just close their eyes and hoped for the best?
