Listening to: Dark progressive house
Yeah, I'm still alive...
Gathering strength and energy by doing other, non drawing, activities:
1)Playing Call Of Duty: Black Ops
Just as I thought the Jingoism and chest beating of Modern Warfare 2 and Medal Of Honour couldn't get worse, now we have COD Black Ops.
Seriously, note to American game developers... THE COLD WAR IS OVER AND IT FINISHED 20 YEARS AGO. GET OVER IT.
It's like a big fucking long piece of 50's American propaganda. The game should just have been called COD: Let's Kill Those Dastardly Communists Because We Are Morally Superior And They Are Pooh-Pooh.
Ah, Coca-Cola, symbol of free West! (with apologies to Alexei Sayle)
2) Mixing dark progressive house for my own listening pleasure.
Fuck you, happy music! I'm living in the dark side... of house music!!!11!!11!!
3)Pork katsu curry
Fuck yeah! Finally a place nearby that makes decent pork katsu curry... ambrosia from heaven.
4) Attempting to cook
...And failing miserably. Screw you, kitchen!
Seriously, why is it so fucking hard to cook?! I mean, I can fry an egg and I can boil rice and shit... but making breakfast with mushrooms and ham and everything else is so incredibly hard! Why does everything have to burn so quickly? Screw you too, science!!
I'm no expert though - I haven't played it, but ended getting caught up in my other half's gameplay. I'm going by what I've seen and heard.
True story: In trying to cook a baked potato in the microwave I almost blew it up. The potato and probably the microwave
I've been playing Stalker for a while now. Yes, it is awesome but it does feel that the project was too ambitious to take on. There are too many bugs and issues with the mission system, but even so, it's such a clever and awesome game...
As for Stalker... well, "Shadow of Chernobyl" was really unfinished but we liked it anyway, because we saw things that constitute our everyday reality in a very unusual entourage. Because it was the real Russia. Not that Rasha, which is ugly maded by foreign game developers. No... this was the "Great Patriotic Game"... like "Tetris"! And fans of this game made a lot of patches to made "Stalker" almost absolutely free of bugs! "Clear Sky" had incredible graphics, but shitty plot. And it was even more buggy then previouse. I completed it, but I was disappointed. And now we have "Call of Pripyat". Plot became as simpe as it possible, locations became a bit boring and monotonous, but now this game is full of various secondary objections and hidden quests, full of many ways to do some missions... Gameplay became really interesting and now it's finally looks really great! And there is no bugs now!
Nope, the reason I liked Modern Warfare was because it felt you were going about your day job, not raising the flag for some ideology. This was very rare. You just went in, did what you had to do and left. No speeches about freedom, puppies or burger stands.
Oh, now I see the difference. War is like "day job", a-ha... Well, point taken. I guess, it's not necessarily to continue. Enough is enough.
2. I prefer dark progressive rock (Tool, baby!)
3. Alright, then
4. It can be a challenge. My father's better at it than I am (he used to be a chef).
2. I see.
3.Indeed.
4. You must learn and carry out the work I cannot... for the grater good!!!
2. Yes
3. With onions
4. Yeah, it wouldn't be a bad idea. I could save the kitchen much suffering.
