All my previous comics were hosted at Comic Genesis and frankly it gave me plenty of pain and frustration. I've narrowed it down to two free hosts. SmackJeeves and ComicFury. Has anyone here had experiences with either, or do you use or know of another free host which is the bee's knees?
SmackJeeves seems like a good option. If you own a domain name though, you could grab free hosting at Awardspace (what I use, pretty good so far) and deploy ComicPress or something. But barring that, I'd go with SmackJeeves.
I use smackjeeves, and i think it's excellent. your pages are fully customizable but kept simple for idiots like me XD and the community is really positive and supportive.
SmackJeeves all the way. All the same benefits of Drunk Duck, NONE of the downtime. Granted, you will be forced to share the stage with a metrick shitton of weeabo yaoi fangirls and sonic fanfics, but these days, what free hosting service DOESN'T have that stuff? I have my new series "The Lavenders" there, and they offer some great features, like realistic stats, plus with paid memberships you can not only get increased exposure, you can also use a custom domain name of your own choosing. It's about the same price as a cheap paid host with the Premium stuff, but a free host won't normally give you awesome templates you can modify or a ready-made audience out of the gate. Oh, and we apparently have a Group here on dA you can pimp your wares to.
Is Drunkduck still around? I dunno if they are or not. Of SmackJeeves I hear good things too, but I haven't looked these up, dunno if they're free or not.
I've heard of a site called Comic Fury as well, but again, meh, dunno if free.

Hope that helps.
